This is my colleague Tom. Although he doesn’t like standing in front of a lens, he’s very good at it.
Take a picture of him and you’ll always have a nice and natural portrait.
This picture is taken with the flash on the camera. The camera is in vertical position so the flash is on the left side. If you let your subject turn his/her head, you end up with a nice profile. If you flip the camera vertically to the other side (flash on the right, shutter button somewhere down and akward to reach) you’ll get a nicely evenly lit portrait. I must say I like my Sto-fen diffuser dome a lot. It does a great job softening the flash light.
